Modern house built on a shipping container with a black upper section, white lower section, and a balcony with a black railing, set on a grassy yard under a partly cloudy sky.

At 320 square feet, this efficient and simple home is constructed from one intermodal shipping container modified to sit within a 16’ x 20’ footprint. Both units sit cantelivered above one 8’ x 40’ container base which creates both foundation and additional storage / outdoor living for the two units.

Integrated with a corrugated steel clad skin, rope inspired railings, a recycled wood deck, solar roof tiles, and a saltbox sky window - the outdoors and local community are interwoven throughout the architecture making each of the varied spaces feel crafted, expansive, and peacefully at home in their surroundings.
